"Slacklining (M)Usic": I go to the public parks fairly often to enjoy nature & for exercise. The parks are also one of the only places where I meet interesting people. On June 6, 2021, I saw a young man stretching what was to me a very long line for walking on, a practice I learned is called slacklining. He was named Ethan & was friendly to talk with & he agreed to my shooting footage of him. When I learned that there may not be people making (m)usic especially for slackliners to listen to while on the line it seemed obvious to me that I MUST BE THE 1ST. Well, ok, I cheated, I just took an old piece of mine that I figured was NOT at the pace that a slackliner was likely to be safe with. Ethan had explained that there're different types of slacklining, such as tricklining, & that there would be different types of music for them. With that in mind, I decided that the piece of mine I chose for the soundtrack, "The Bleep/Bloop School of Fast & Regular" (1996), would be perfect for a new type of slacklining that I decided to dub Effectslining. - June 9, 2021 notes from tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE
